Welcome to the
Boone County Jury Website
Jury Trials are on pause effective 11/23/2020 through 01/31/2021. If you have received a Summons to appear for a Jury trial during this timeframe, you may disregard the Summons. Your name will be returned to the Jury pool for future service within the year.
Trial by jury is a fundamental principle of our system of justice. Jury service is therefore both an opportunity and an obligation of every American citizen. The following information will give prospective jurors some background information about the process and what to expect when reporting for jury duty. All jurors are selected for service by a computer system that randomly selects individuals from a list of county residents who hold a drivers license, a voters registration card, a state identification card, a disabled persons identification card, or who are receiving unemployment compensation. You must be at least 18 years old to serve.
If you have questions pertaining to your jury service, click on the blue icon toolbar at the top of any of our web pages and select FAQ. You may also contact the Jury Coordinator at (815) 544-0371 during the hours of 8:30 a.m - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Boone County Courthouse is closed all legal holidays.
